Introducing BESS - a new generation sustainability assessment tool
The Built Environment Sustainability Scorecard (BESS) is a new generation tool that can assess a residential, non-residential or mixed use building. BESS has been developed especially to support the Sustainable Design Assessment in the Planning Process (SDAPP) framework.
BESS will replace STEPS and SDS, with a transition period before STEPS and SDS are phased out at the end of October 2016. For new projects, you are encouraged to use BESS.
Industry training is available. Visit the BESS website for more information.
